South Lismore Bowling and Recreation Club has a proud history of sporting achievements and has been a focal point for the suburb’s residents since it was established soon after World War Two.
The Northern Star newspaper reported that two beautiful greens had been laid on an ideal site on the banks of Leycester Creek and opened for play on Saturday, May 10, 1947. A third green and clubhouse were established within a few years.
